Archaeological Museum
2, rue Ben Hussaien Tel: (09) 93 20 97 Built in 1943, this museum features antiquities from sites in northern Morocco including the superb Roman mosaic, The Three Graces. Prehistoric tools, coins, bronzes and pottery are also on display. Most of the figurine collection dates from the First Century A.D. The museum also houses a library of over 60,000 volumes dedicated to the preservation of North African literature.
Ethnographic Museum
Avenue Skala Bab El Oukla Tel: (09) 97 05 05 Once the fortress of Sultan Moulay Abderrahman, the Ethnographic Museum was established in this fabulous structure in 1948. Moroccan customs and traditions from marriage ceremonies to the simplest accoutrements of Moroccan living are displayed here.
