Palestinian Airlines was founded by the Palestinian Government in July 1994. Against numerous odds of the uncertain political mood of the Middle East region and in spite of challenges that faced Palestine during the last years, Palestinian Airlines has managed to emerge as an international carrier. Friday, the 10th of January 1997, was one of the most important dates in Palestinian aviation history. Palestinian Airlines flight number (PF 141) took off on that day as the first trip carrying Palestinian pilgrims from Port Saed Airport in Egypt to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Two Fokker 50 aircraft had airlifted 325 pilgrims through seven return flights.

The Palestinian Airlines shouldered the responsibility of achieving the following goals:

  • Providing safe, comfortable and suitable communication and transportation service between Palestine and the rest of the world countries in collaboration with parallel international airline companies.
  • Providing the best service through well-trained professional teams.
  • Enhancing the level of performance in quality and quantity in order to improve financial resources, which would contribute in the development, improvement process and qualifying the staff.
  • Representing the Palestinian people and reflecting the Palestinian culture.
